About the Speaker:
YASIR YOUSUF THARA
Reservoir Engineer at Wintershall Dea AG – Experienced in handling Carbon Management & Hydrogen from technical aspects of the CO2 storage (designing optimum well injection, enhancing gas production with CO2 injection, comprehensive risk identification in CO2 injection, etc.) in Northwest Europe (Germany, Denmark, UK, Norway, and Netherlands) and Algeria.
Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering at Imperial College of London – focused on CCS assessment in Northern Lights CCS Project by Shell in Norway to apprehend the movement of CO2 plume, assessed the uncertain and sensitive parameters on the volume leaked CO2, and evaluated the detectability of plume in high permeability streak with 4D seismic techniques.
The winner of the SPE East Meets West Congress – Student Paper Contest in Krakow (Poland) 2018.
